About me

Hello, I'm Tammy—welcome to my page.

I am a warm and compassionate, qualified therapeutic counsellor based in Liverpool. My approach is to provide a non-judgmental, safe, and empathetic space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I believe in the power of counselling to support mental and emotional well-being. Through this process, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, feel lighter, calmer, and more in control of your life.

The client-counsellor relationship is unique—built on trust, openness, and connection. As you share and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, you can gain new insights, break unhelpful patterns, and move forward with confidence.

If you're ready to take that step, I’m here to support you.

My Counselling Approach

I offer 1 hour, counselling sessions in-person, online, or over the phone, providing flexibility to suit your needs. I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, some including:

  • Anxiety, worry, depression, low mood, and struggles with self-esteem and self-confidence, emotions, abandonment, loneliness, childhood experiences, or abuse, relationship difficulties, past experiences, family issues, stress, work pressures, or major life changes.

My approach is integrative, drawing from Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Inner Child Work. This allows me to tailor sessions to your unique needs, promoting healing from a mental, emotional, and even physical perspective.

Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you—helping you gain insight, process emotions, and build resilience for lasting change.

What to Do Next?

Contact Me

If anything you’ve read resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach out via email, and I will arrange a free 20-minute phone consultation. This will be an opportunity for us to discuss what’s currently going on for you, any mental health concerns, your goals, and what you hope to achieve through counselling.

Your First Session

In our first session, we will go through our working agreement, along with some questions about your worries and mood. This helps us establish a foundation for our work together.

Sessions are entirely for you and about you. You may want to talk through specific issues, or you might prefer a more general discussion about how you're feeling. While I may offer insights and suggestions, I won’t tell you what you should think or do—this is your space to explore at your own pace.

Response Time

I aim to respond as quickly as possible and within 48 hours (excluding weekends). Please check your spam or junk folder in case my reply lands there.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

  • I am dyslexic and can empathise with others who are
  • I also suffer from Long Covid (Post Covid Syndrome)

I have chose to share this information in case anyone is looking for support with either of these conditions.

While I offer virtual counselling, immense value comes from in-person sessions. Traveling to and from a dedicated space allows you time and space to reflect. Releasing emotions in a calming environment can leave you feeling refreshed and lighter. My intention is to provide a warm, comfortable space for your self-care.
