About us

Hello! How are you? Maybe you have found yourself here because maybe you’re not feeling all that good at the moment. Is that right?

Maybe you're feeling more stressed or anxious than you used to? Perhaps work is getting you down, or a family/friend relationship isn't going too well. Maybe you are experiencing low mood or depression or other feelings such as grief, anger, resentment, jealousy, panic and more. Perhaps you are finding you have a tricky relationship with food, experiencing body image concerns and don't like your appearance or maybe you're going through some other changes in your body such as peri/post/menopause or illness. Maybe you have some trauma from the past that is now affecting life now. Or perhaps you are finding that you have no confidence, lack self-esteem or feeling lost in life.

Whether you are experiencing any of the examples above or are finding you need to talk to someone about something else in your life, please know you are not alone. It can feel like that sometimes: that we're all alone and no-one really understands and no-one can really help. But, we want you to know that there are people, such as our friendly and professional team of therapists,  who do understand and can help you through the difficult times. We are here to walk alongside you and, together,  support you to talk ,and explore, whatever it is you are facing.

And you want only have the time and space to talk about whatever you are facing right now; you can also learn new ways to manage and reduce (for example) stress, anxiety, panic, unhelpful habits and and thinking, as well as increase the helpful things in your life that might help lift your mood, feel more confident or help you feel more relaxed. We find a mix of 'talking' and 'doing' to be really helpful when making changes in life.

Whatever the case might be, whatever you are facing or experiencing now, or in the future, we are here to listen, support and help you improve life, a step at a time. There's no hurry, no pressure, no expectations and no talking about things you're not ready to talk about.

And, as you are in the driving seat, here’s something else we want to say before you leave our page.

Therapists often talk about how WE (the therapists) can help YOU.

Yes, we can help you...in lots of ways. However, we can't help you, until YOU take the first step and decide to improve your life or address the problem or concern that's making your life difficult. We can't reach out into the screen and drag you to therapy or counselling. You have to meet us in the middle somewhere, and that starts with you, getting in touch with us, to find out how we can help and support you.

Then, you can start working, in partnership with your therapist or counsellor, to improve life.

Now, we know that can be a scary or daunting step to take. We know, because we all had to attend therapy and counselling as part of our training. And so, because of that, we aim to keep you informed and make the process of booking the first (and any further appointments) as easy as possible. All of our therapists are friendly, encouraging, supportive and tailor therapy to you and will work with you, in partnership, at your pace, to work on, talk about, explore and 'do' what you will find helpful. Everyone is different and so what works for one person might not work for you.

Sometimes you might find the 'talking' helpful and sometimes you might find the 'doing' bit more helpful. Sometimes you need to talk about X and sometimes you need to talk about Y or Z. Remember, it's your therapy, although we will guide and support you throughout the whole process.

Therapy and counselling is confidential too and we will create a safe, confidential and private space for you to work on what's important to you.

We can provide services to adults over 18 years old. One of our therapists can also offer therapy and counselling to children and young people between 12-18 years.

Our services are ONLINE (although we can arrange in person appointments in Glasgow, upon request).

I'll ask the question I started with again….how are you? If the answer is ‘I’m not doing so well at the moment’, I'd encourage you take that first step and get in touch. What are you waiting for? Go on, it's time. we're waiting for you and ready to listen. Take that step...take it today!

Training, qualifications & experience

About Our Therapists

We have a wonderful team of affiliate therapists and counsellors who are all friendly, approachable, encouraging and professional. The team currently consists of: Alexandra, Amanda, Jackie, Jenny, Julie, Liz, Natalia; Sue and Wendy.

All therapists and counsellors are accredited and/or fully qualified and experienced therapists and counsellors. We sometimes have some trainee therapists/counsellors and newly qualified therapists/counsellors providing low-cost appointments too. We also have a highly experience HCPC dietitian and nutritionist, Jenny, who can also help you to get your physical health back on track too.

The team brings a wealth of information and experience and they are really friendly, encouraging and understanding. They are approachable; tailor therapy to each individual client; go at your pace; provide short or long term therapy; and work with you in a flexible, collaborative way to support you to get to where you would like to get to. We have a great wee team and everyone works really hard to give you the best service possible.

The team has experience of working with groups and individuals in therapy and counselling. We have experience of delivering therapeutic, support and psych-educational groups and training too. Some of us are all clinical supervisors, trainers, psychology practitioners and lecturers.
