About me
Your story matters. As an integrative therapist, I combine the depth of counselling with the practicality of coaching to support both healing from the past and growth towards a self-directed future. Whether you are looking to make sense of difficult experiences, heal past trauma, improve relationships, or find tools to move forward with confidence, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can be heard, respected, and empowered to create meaningful change.
My Approach:
Early relationships and experiences, including those that may have been traumatic, can influence how we see ourselves and how we connect with others. Sometimes the coping strategies or safety behaviours that once helped us manage difficult situations continue into adulthood, even if they no longer serve us. In therapy, there is space to explore these experiences with care, to reflect on the impact of trauma, and to consider whether old patterns are still needed or if new ways of being might feel more supportive.
As an integrative therapist, my practice is grounded in Person-Centred Counselling and supported with Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaching. This allows me to work with the whole person; offering depth and exploration where needed, as well as practical strategies and resources to support personal growth and change.
I am committed to offering an inclusive and respectful space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, cultural backgrounds, and ethnicity. Therapy is offered as a place where you can bring your whole self, knowing that your experiences and identity are met with care and respect.
You bring your experiences; I offer support, perspective, and a steady space to work through anxiety and trauma, gain clarity, and make choices that feel more aligned with the life you want…and deserve.
What My Clients Say...
“My time with Sarah has been nothing short of life changing. When I started my journey with her I was at rock bottom, unsure of who I was and what I wanted in life. I had lots of trauma I needed to work through and from the moment I had my consultation I knew that she was the counsellor I was looking for. Sarah has helped me through lots of highs and lows, continuing my counselling with her even when I moved out of Aberdeen. She helped me find myself again and I look forward to continuing to grow with her help.” (January 2026)
“Sarah has been at the forefront of my change in mental health, she listened to all my problems and helped me lay the groundwork to become who I wanted to be.” (January 2026)
“Sarah is someone you can trust. I enjoy the warmth and humour that go alongside expertise.” (January 2026)
“Sarah is a lovely person who listens deeply to everything you say. She is caring and very professional.” (January 2026)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
