About me
Hello, my name is Rhiannon, I am a Person-Centred Psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP. My practice is based in the beautiful town of Newquay. I am passionate about guiding individuals on their journey towards self-discovery and positive change.
In our sessions, I believe in the power of collaboration. Together, we will create a safe and nurturing environment where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and emotions without judgment. By providing this open space, we can delve into your experiences and gain a deeper understanding of who you are and what drives you.
My primary goal is to support you in finding the necessary resources from within yourself to facilitate personal growth and healing. I firmly believe that you are the expert in your life, and my role is to be a compassionate and attentive companion on your path of self-exploration.
I specialise in trauma, anxiety, and personal development. However, my particular passion lies in the fascinating field of psychoneuroimmunology. I am deeply intrigued by the impact trauma has on the body and the intricate ways in which trauma communicates through the psyche, neurological system, and immune system.
In addition to trauma, I have valuable experience in assisting clients with various challenges, including but not limited to depression, issues related to self-esteem, relationship concerns, chronic illness, neurodivergence and grief.
Furthermore, my professional journey extends to supporting individuals in challenging environments, specifically in inpatient settings like acute and intensive care psychiatry wards. This diverse experience has greatly enriched my ability to adapt and tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Through our sessions, I aim to assist you in identifying your inner strengths and resources to navigate life's difficulties and create positive changes. My goal is to empower you on your journey towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being.
I offer counselling services both online and in-person, as well as through telephone sessions, to accommodate your preferences and needs. Whether we meet virtually or face-to-face, my commitment to providing a safe and supportive therapeutic space remains constant.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
