About me

Hello, my name is Paul and I have spend many years working alongside people, in a professional capacity, to find ways to work through their lived experience of depression, anxiety, panic, loss and trauma. A common factor has been wanting things to be different but unsure how to get there. So, by working together, over time, we have found a way through this.

I offer a safe non-judgemental place to explore your thoughts and to consider what comes up for you. As you are the expert in your life we will work at your pace to gain an understanding of how your life is.

I am a trained counsellor, accredited cognitive analytic therapist and registered mentalization based therapist who works in a professional and confidential way.

Presently, I am offering appointments on zoom.

By starting to talk to someone is a positive step to make the changes in your life that are important for you, but understandably, you might not be sure whether it is right for you. I therefore, can offer a free 20 minute zoom appointment to give us a chance to meet and to think about what might be most helpful to you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

ACAT
The Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT)

The Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) is a registered charity. They welcome members of the public, health professionals, ACAT accredited professionals, and anyone interested in finding out more about CAT. They list CAT practitioners.
