About me
Hello and welcome — I’m Nicole Grilo, Clinical Director and Lead Clinician at Ashley Cross Eating Disorders Service (ACEDS).
I founded ACEDS in 2021 with a clear mission: to provide specialist, evidence-based eating disorder treatment that is accessible, compassionate and clinically grounded. We provide fully online therapy across the UK, supporting individuals and families experiencing anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder.
Our approach incorporates CBT-E, MANTRA and specialist psychological therapies tailored to the individual. Where appropriate, our nutritionists provide nutritional support to complement psychological treatment. We also offer guidance and support to families and caregivers, recognising the vital role they play in recovery.
Choosing to seek support is a significant step. At ACEDS, our role is to provide a safe, structured and collaborative environment in which recovery can begin — with clarity, professionalism and compassion at the centre of everything we do.
You are welcome to book a free confidential 30-minute enquiry call with Nicole to explore whether our service feels like the right fit for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We deliver therapy primarily online across the South West and UK. Face-to-face appointments are also available in Christchurch and Southampton.
Our team consists of specialist psychological therapists and dietitians with experience across NHS, private healthcare, charitable and international treatment settings. As a service, we are committed to providing structured, client-led and clinically grounded care tailored to each individual.
We offer one-to-one therapy using CBT-E, MANTRA and other specialist psychological approaches. Treatment may also include nutritional support, work on anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem and body image, as appropriate to your needs.
Clients work collaboratively with their clinician to set clear goals around reducing restrictive eating, bingeing or purging behaviours, and to build sustainable recovery strategies.
We also provide structured support for parents and caregivers, alongside group programmes where appropriate.
If you are considering a referral, please note that GP involvement may be required in certain cases to ensure safe, coordinated multidisciplinary care. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please contact us to discuss.
