About me

Hi! I'm Nas, I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, a member of the NCPS and an individual member of the BACP.

Through my practice, I help people deal with conditions that include developmental trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationships concerns, life adjustments and phobias.

There are understandable reasons why we struggle, get overwhelmed, and feel alone. Sometimes it can be hard to find the words to express what is happening inside of us. Perhaps, we have words but no one with whom we can safely share them. I know it can be difficult to talk and trust that someone will understand you. For those of us who feel this way, I invite you to consider therapy as an adventurous voyage of self-discovery.

While taking on this journey will take courage and perseverance, it will lead you down a rewarding path.

We will look for underlying issues and patterns that may be affecting your ability to access feelings, memories, and experiences. Making our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours more transparent can lead to a renewed sense of self-awareness, significant breakthroughs, and a liberated feeling. The relationship we have with the world and with ourselves can be improved and transformed by this newfound understanding.

My style of working is integrative which means that I use a range of techniques, individually or in combination to fit the specific needs of each client.

My approach is holistic as it addresses the individual as a whole, taking into account their history, personality, and embodied experience.

I offer a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to support my clients in being heard and understood differently.

I use my experience to support people who wish to acknowledge unwanted patterns, sit with uncomfortable feelings and allow those feelings to be. Together, we will work towards a more compassionate understanding of the self and relationships on a mental, emotional, and somatic level. We will uncover your path together, mindfully and with compassionate curiosity where you will be able to reinvent and recreate your life as it unfolds.

BACP

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
