About me

I am a Psychodynamic counsellor. I am passionate about the power of counselling to facilitate healing and growth in a supportive and empathetic environment. As an experienced practitioner, I offer a compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I am deeply committed to creating a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and understanding.

I understand that each individual comes with a unique set of circumstances, backgrounds, and identities, and I strive to honor and validate these differences in our work together. I offer face to face open ended counselling at various locations across Bristol. I also offer online sessions over zoom. I offer concessions for people on low incomes those these are limited My approach to counselling is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to be heard and valued without judgment. I

aim to create a safe and inclusive space where you can freely express yourself and explore the challenges you are facing, whether they are related to relationships, personal growth, or past experiences. We will work collaboratively to uncover underlying patterns and gain insight into the factors influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Together, we will explore how past experiences may be shaping your present struggles, and we will work towards fostering positive change and growth. Starting counselling can be a trans-formative experience, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Whether you are new to counselling or have previous experience.

If you feel like I maybe a good fit to be your counsellor or would like to talk with me further about how I work or have any questions about counselling please get in touch, and we can book in a free phone consultation where we can discuss what is happening for you and any questions you might have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Psychodynamic counselling from Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
