About me

Embarking on a journey of self-discovery and healing is a courageous step towards personal growth. As an experienced psychodynamic counsellor, I provide a warm and inclusive space for individuals seeking support during challenging times.

My sessions are weekly, will be at the same time each week, and last for 50 minutes. The first session is an assessment session where we can discuss what is happening for you and you can decide if I am the right counsellor for you. Following this, our sessions will focus on what you would like to discuss each week. We will work together for as long as is required by you.

In our sessions, we will explore what is happening for you, uncovering underlying patterns and unconscious processes that may be contributing to your current situation. Through compassionate listening and insightful reflection, together we'll explore  the complexities of your experiences, fostering a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself and empowering you to make choices that are true to you.

I believe in the power of inclusive therapy, honoring the unique identities and backgrounds of each individual I work with. Whether you are grappling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking greater self-awareness, my goal is to provide you with the support and guidance you need to thrive.

Should you think that I might be a good fit for you, I invite you to schedule a free 20-minute consultation phone call. This offers you the opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and explore how we can work together to address the issues you are facing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Psychodynamic counselling from Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
