About me

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist (Level 7) and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering a supportive, confidential and professional counselling service.

There are many reasons why a person may attend therapy; it is an ongoing process reserved not only for when we are suffering, but also for when we might want to identify goals, explore our past, promote behaviour change, seek coping mechanisms, or discover meaning. My aim is to help guide you through what ever it is you choose to explore, working together to untangle and make sense of what may be going on.

Having a dedicated space to vent and explore what you are experiencing, without judgement, can be invaluable. Through building a safe and trusting relationship, I can help you to recognise specific triggers or patterns of behaviour which may not be helping you. By acknowledging where our emotions come from, and how they affect us, we can gain greater insight into how we can change the way we react to situations.

As an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I am able to combine theories and techniques from a variety of theoretical approaches. This flexibility means that I can tailor my way of working to each individual in order to help them achieve their goals and make sense of life’s challenges. Offering a warm, collaborative approach, I draw from a range of models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential perspectives. However we choose to work together, at the heart of our sessions will be an empathetic, non-judgemental and compassionate ear.

I work with clients over the age of 18 and my office is based in the Swansea Clinic of Natural Medicine on Walter Road. I offer short and long-term therapy depending on the individual and their presenting concerns.

I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step into therapy. I therefore hope to create a friendly, safe and inclusive space so that you may begin to feel at ease, at a pace you feel comfortable with.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
