Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a deeply experienced and fully registered psychotherapist, counsellor, and mental health professional, with over 15 years of practice in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Systemic Practice and counselling. My approach is grounded in compassion, clarity, and presence — helping people reconnect with their inner resources.
Many of us come to therapy not because we are broken, but because parts of us carry pain, confusion, or roles that were never chosen. I help people gently turn toward those parts of the psyche — with curiosity, care, and courage — to find real felt healing from within.
⸻
How I Work:
At the heart of my work is a deeply held experiential knowing:
You already carry the capacity for healing — it is existential in all but not all know how to access it.
It’s my role to help you access this fundamental nature and unparalleled resource.
Using IFS Therapy, along with mindful, somatic, and systemic approaches, I guide clients in attending to emotional pain, shame, relational wounds, anxiety, and stuck patterns — not by fixing them, but by befriending and unburdening the internal systems that carry them.
Witnessing and hearing the most authentic versions of who you are and the you that already holds all of that.
My practice is experiential and body-aware. Together, we create space to breathe better, feel more but with more ease, and be more open to listen to your experience — so the natural clarity and calm of your deeper Self can be more present.
⸻
What You Might Bring
• Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or scattered
• Persistent inner criticism or shame
• Emotional pain that seems hard to name
• Relationship difficulties or repeat patterns
• A deep desire to heal trauma — personal, intergenerational, or systemic
• A longing to feel more whole, connected, or alive
No part of you is too much or too little. Together, we explore with compassion — not to pathologize, but to deeply understand, be seen, heard and felt… Yes! It’s possible.
⸻
Approaches I Use:
• Internal Family Systems (IFS) – A powerful, non-pathologising model for deep emotional healing
• Systemic Therapy & Family Systems Thinking – Honours the wider relational, cultural, and intergenerational dynamics
• Mindfulness-Based Practices – Rooted in 40+ years of experience with embodied awareness
• Somatic Presence & Breathwork – To support nervous system regulation and release of stored emotional energy
These approaches are not separate; they form an integrated, relational process that helps clients feel seen, safe, and reconnected with their inner clarity.
⸻
Who I Work With:
I support individuals and couples across a wide range of issues, including:
• Complex trauma and PTSD
• Anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation
• Identity loss, self-esteem, and shame
• Relationship repair and communication
• Inner conflict and self-sabotaging patterns
• Spiritual and existential concerns
• Therapists and helpers seeking their own support.
My work is affirming, inclusive, and deeply respectful of diversity and lived experience.
⸻
Why Clients Work With Me…
Clients often describe sessions as:
“A space of deepening freedom, perspective, and emotional spaciousness.”
”Relief and liberating”
”You’re so good”
”I can see why you’re a counsellor”
”Life changing”
“I would never have believed it!”
They report feeling calmer, more connected, and less alone with what they carry.
IFS has been called “a therapy that actually works” — because it doesn’t treat symptoms as problems, but listens to them as messengers.
As Gabor Maté says:
“When compassion arises, the internal physiology changes.”
This is what therapy can offer: real, lasting change — not imposed from outside, but arising naturally from within.
What to Expect:

In today’s culture its normal for people to reach a point where they may feel distressed. Life can feel burdened rather than free and calm. On a logical level human beings can argue with our selves that "all should be fine" - yet somehow things can remain with feelings and meanings that suggest things are not right. People can find themselves stressed, having to create new ways to make changes to move away from mental suffering / illness, solve emotional charge, make more sense of their life - or considering themselves relatively healthy simply desire to find something to assist their living existence, with enriched wholesome experience...
It intrigues me how emotive communication can create detachment from, or be attaching towards, a person’s innate vital qualities. The counselling approaches I offer attends and explores these intricacies, experiences, patterns and parts of human experience both at the logical and emotional levels. This means I don't just work with thoughts but also with the contextual aspects that inform a persons thoughts i.e. what generates the thought patterns along with the thoughts themselves. This is to enable clearer listening, understandings, adjustments and the arising possibilities of new found perspectives and inner freedom - differentiated clear awareness.
