About me

At times life can feel quite unpredictable and confusing. We might find ourselves feeling stuck, lonely, and hurt. Beginning therapy is an act of bravery, and I am so glad to see you here.

As humans, we have an inherent need to feel connected to others and the environment around us to find joy, meaning and fulfilment. We deserve a safe place to talk with someone who will not judge or shame us but instead walk alongside and help us make sense of things.

We are all beautifully unique, and the focus will always be on your wants and needs. We can co-create an environment that is best suited to you by fostering a space for a relationship built on trust, compassion, and hope. A place where you can feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways.

I consider it a privilege to support individuals to find ways to heal, grow, and develop self-compassion by exploring the stories of their lives in a way that honours and respects the many parts of themselves.

I can support you in managing anxious thoughts, hard-to-express feelings and depression, navigate loss and bereavement, past and/or present trauma, relationship difficulties and breakdown, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, addiction, feelings of disconnection and lack of sense of self.

I offer short or long term therapy to adults in a safe, accessible space. I have experience working with men, young adults, autism, ADHD, identity issues and life stages.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
