About me

Hello, I’m Liana, a fully qualified and BACP registered counsellor based in London, currently providing online or telephone counselling.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I strive to build an atmosphere of trust and security, where you feel truly heard and accepted

Whatever struggles bring you to counselling, I aim to support you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences, and your relationships with others. Together we can work towards getting you to a place where you feel better equipped to cope with life’s challenges and establish an inner sense of peace

Whether you are experiencing a major life change or just don’t feel ‘yourself’ counselling can open up possibilities for deep personal change.

No issue is too big or too small if it matters to you.

I offer a free 20-minute telephone or video consultation before starting sessions. This provides you with a sense of how the sessions would be and for me to find out some more about what brings you to counselling.

I offer support for a range of presenting issues- please see the full list below. I have particular experience with issues of; anxiety, panic attacks, low-self esteem, OCD, relationship issues and addiction.

Training, qualifications & experience

My therapeutic approach is Integrative, which means I am trained in a number of theories and therapies. I draw on different therapeutic approaches to best suit your individual needs at the time. I conduct sessions with the utmost sensitivity and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I have worked for NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT), NHS mental health teams, voluntary charities, schools and private practice.

Alongside my private practice, I currently work in the drug and alcohol substance misuse services.

  • MBACP Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling- Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Academy.
  •  BA (Hons) Roehampton University.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
