About me
💭 Do you feel trapped in your own mind—constantly overthinking, worrying, or second-guessing yourself?
💭 Do you struggle with low self-esteem, feeling like you’re never quite “good enough”?
💭 Does anxiety keep you on edge, making it hard to relax no matter how hard you try?
💭 Some days, you hold it all together. Other days, even the smallest things feel overwhelming…
💭 You want to feel confident, at peace, and in control—but you don’t know where to start.
✨ I know you’ve tried so hard to cope, to push through, to ‘be okay’—but you don’t have to do this alone anymore. ✨
Choosing a counsellor is an important part of reclaiming your life: choose another human being to connect with, someone with whom you can truly 'gel' with. So, Hi, I’m Lalida. Nice to meet you :)
How we work together and our therapy journey...
I know that the struggle you're experiencing right now isn't for lack of trying. You've likely tried so many ways to overcome it, to cope with it, and to make it more manageable. Maybe you're wondering why it hasn’t worked, or why it doesn’t feel the way you expected.
In the journey we’ll take together, I can help you understand why you are the way you are, and why you’re dealing with things the way you do. Healing isn’t just about fixing what's broken—it’s about learning to see yourself as a whole person, even with the parts that feel wounded. We’ll uncover the inner strength that’s been there all along, that is already within you, even if they feel hidden right now, and use it to not just cope, but to truly heal..

I provide a safe, understanding space where you can be yourself—like stepping into a room where no one is watching, where there are no judgmental eyes, no critical voices. Just a space where you can breathe, explore, and grow without the weight of expectation. In this space, we’ll work to build on your strengths, not to “fix” you, but to guide you toward becoming the fullest, truest version of yourself.

While I take my clients' well-being very seriously, I also believe in incorporating aspects of humanity, and humility. It's my aim that you feel at ease and empowered to bring your complete self to our sessions.
I strongly believe that you know yourself the best, therefore, I’m here to listen, not to diagnose, and understand how you came to be. We live in this world where there are expectations of how a person should be, so that might overshadow your true self. But who are you, beneath the layers of external influences? Who is the person that emerges when the world's expectations fade away?

My approach...
I am qualified as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist from the University of Derby in a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited by BACP. I utilise a range of psychological approaches including CBT, Person-Centred Approach, Attachment Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion-Focused Therapy to help adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional and psychological distress.
"I’m an integrative therapist which means I apply multiple approaches to work with you. I don’t believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, so I customise, tailor and personalise our sessions to fit your needs."
- Person-Centered Approach
In the PCA, the focus is on you, the client. I believe in creating a warm and accepting environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I’m not here to tell you what to do. You know yourself the best. This approach allows you to work towards your self-discovery and how you can grow. - Attachment Theory
Attachment theory explores the impact of early relationships on our emotional well-being. In our sessions, we'll explore how your past attachments might influence your current relationships and behaviours. Understanding these patterns can pave the way for healthier connections with others and with ourselves. - Cognitive-Behavioral Theory
CBT is a practical and goal-oriented approach that examines the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We'll work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, developing effective coping strategies to use in any life's challenges. - Compassion-Focused Therapy
Compassion-focused therapy is all about self-compassion and understanding. We'll explore ways to develop kindness and acceptance toward yourself. This approach can be particularly beneficial in managing self-criticism and discovering and strengthening resilience carried within you.
I regularly engage in CPD to expand my knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest approaches. Whether it's trauma-focused techniques, mindfulness, EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Individual Therapy or person-centered therapy or even training towards working online/remote, I blend different methods to meet you where you are and support your unique journey toward healing.
Culture awareness...
Culture, Identity, Find your Place, Bringing a piece of Thailand with me, I've walked the path between two cultures and truly understand the challenges of finding your place. I'd also faced the cultural shifts and language hurdles firsthand. I genuinely understand where you're coming from, which allows us a stronger connection.
*I currently offer online and telephone counselling.
