About me
💭 Do you feel stuck in your own head? Always overthinking or second-guessing yourself?
💭 Are you struggling with anxiety or depression, feeling like you’re never quite “good enough”?
💭 Does the weight of low self-esteem or low self-confidence keep you from enjoying life?
💭 Some days you keep it together, but other days even small things feel overwhelming.
💭 You want to feel confident, at peace, and in control—but you don’t know where to start.
✨ You’ve been trying hard to cope, using self-help tools or telling yourself to just get on with it. But you don’t have to do this alone anymore. ✨
Finding the right counsellor is personal. You’re not just looking for a professional. You want someone who understands, someone you can trust and feel comfortable with.
So, hi - I’m Lalida. It’s lovely to meet you.
🧭 How we work together
In our work together, we’ll look beneath the surface. Not to find what’s “wrong” with you, but to understand what’s happened and how it’s shaped you, whether that’s trauma, family issues, or ongoing struggles with anxiety and depression.
Healing isn’t about perfection. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, making space for all parts of you, and finding the strength you already carry.
I’ll hold a space that’s calm, accepting, and non-judgemental. A place where you can breathe, explore, and begin to heat at your own pace.

I take your well-being seriously. But I also believe in being human with you.
I want you to feel free to bring your whole self into our sessions. You already carry so much wisdom about who you are, so I’m here to listen.
In a world full of expectations, it’s easy to lose touch with your self. Let’s explore who you are underneath it all.

🧠About Me and My Experience
I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and have experience working in the NHS and with charities supporting survivors of sexual and domestic abuse.
I offer therapy to adults aged 18 to 70 for a wide range of issues, including:
- Anxiety, depression, panic, OCD
- Low self-esteem and low self-confidence
- Trauma and abuse (childhood, sexual, domestic)
- Relationship difficulties, including couples therapy
- Family issues, grief, and loss
Based in Derby and Nottingham, I also offer online and telephone counselling across the UK and the world. If you’re wondering from my name—I’m originally from Bangkok, Thailand.
🎓 My Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby (BACP-accredited).
As an integrative therapist, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from different approaches depending on what’s most helpful for you:
- Person-Centred Approach – A warm, accepting space to explore your inner world without judgement.
- Attachment Theory – We look at how early relationships shape the way you relate today.
- CBT – Practical tools to spot and shift unhelpful thought patterns.
- Compassion-Focused Therapy – Helping you meet yourself with kindness instead of criticism.
I stay updated with regular CPD, including trauma-focused techniques, EMDR, online therapy training, and mindfulness-based approaches.
🌏 Cultural Awareness
I bring a part of Thailand with me into the room. Having moved between cultures, I understand what it’s like to feel between worlds—to navigate different expectations, languages, and identities.
If you’ve ever felt you don’t quite “fit,” I offer a space where your full self is welcome.
*I currently offer online and telephone counselling.
Training, qualifications & experience

Registered and Accredited with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
BACP Registered Member: 402012 (MBACP)
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
