About me

Life can be hectic, stressful, and at times you might find it overwhelming, possibly causing you anxiety and stress, and sometimes even leaving you feeling sad, down or simply "stuck".

Perhaps your confidence and self esteem have taken a hit and you are struggling to see a way forward. I get that. If this resonates - you do not need to experience this alone - I can help.

I work in a person-centred way with my clients, meaning I will work alongside you, offering you support as you navigate through your current issues and challenges.

Dealing with big changes or conflicts around your relationships, work, family and day-to-day life itself can be hard, and counselling can allow you to pause for a minute, take a breath, talk it out and be properly heard.

Having that opportunity to put you first, allowing yourself both the physical and mental space to find the answers can be transformative, and can lead you to a stronger and more positive place in your life.

You may find in our sessions that several things are going on for you and you might not know where to start. This is not uncommon at all. Nothing is off limits and if you are open to exploring with me then we can walk the journey together with no judgment, just compassion. I can help you navigate this uncertain time you have found yourself in.

Whether you have a short number of sessions with me or longer, you will always be at the centre of our sessions and I will be there for you, listening and supporting you by offering you a consistently safe, confidential space, where you can gain a clearer understanding of where you are and what changes you can make to feel more positive and confident moving forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
