About me

A Compassionate Space for Healing and Growth

Hello and thank you for considering my profile. I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic integrative counsellor committed to providing a safe, professional, and nurturing environment where you can explore the challenges life presents. My focus is on creating a collaborative and open relationship, centred around the belief that each individual is unique.

A Personalised Approach to Your Well-Being

Life can be complex, and feelings of anxiety, loneliness, depression, loss, trauma, and other challenges may arise. I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, ensuring a flexible and responsive counselling experience. Whether you're grappling with identity, life direction, or family issues, I offer a space where we can examine these issues together.

Building a Relational Partnership

In our work together, I offer a relational partnership characterised by collaboration, openness, and honesty. This partnership is essential to our journey of exploration and understanding. Through compassionate dialogue, you can delve into aspects of yourself and your relationships that may be difficult to address in day-to-day life.

A Free Introductory Session for Connection

Finding the right counsellor is crucial. I invite you to reach out via phone or email with any questions or to schedule a free introductory session. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore your needs, and discuss how we can work together effectively.

Expertise in a Variety of Challenges

As a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapeutic integrative counsellor, I specialise in helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, PTSD, bereavement, stress, loneliness, social anxiety, panic attacks, neurodiversity, adult diagnoses (e.g., ADHD), suicidal thoughts, and the aftermath of abuse and neglect.

Compassionate and Empathic Support

My commitment is to provide compassionate, empathic, and confidential counselling. I deeply care about creating a safe space for you to explore your experiences, feelings, and thoughts. Together, we can work towards helping you feel better in life.

Integrative Approach for Unique Needs

My integrative approach draws on well-researched and supported theories, presented with deep empathy and presence. This approach ensures that our therapeutic journey is tailored to your unique needs, fostering trust and compassion that can pave the way for answers and healing.

Take the Next Step Towards Healing

It's not always easy to ask for help, and life's challenges can be overwhelming. Your decision to explore counselling options is a significant step towards feeling better. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey. Please don't hesitate to get in touch - I am here for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I am a member of both the UKCP and BACP and an integral part of my practice is working to their ethical and professional standards.

As well as private practice, I work as a counsellor for Emerging Futures / CGL, I am a recovery worker for Together (NIHCSS) and have a position as a Women's Wellbeing Coach with St Giles Trust, all based in and around Norfolk. As part of these communities, I have group supervision sessions and attend regular CPD events to ensure I am continually developing my counselling approach and skills.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
