About me
I practice a non-judgemental, respectful environment in which you can speak freely about what’s wrong. As a trained counsellor, I encourage you to develop insight into self-damaging or limiting thought and behaviour patterns - and I help you make positive change and move forward into a happier life.
It could be depression, stress and anxiety, bereavement and loss, cross-cultural issues, life changes or an abusive relationship.
You’ll find me gentle, thoughtful and easy to talk to. No matter what you have experienced, or what you’re going through right now, you will be accepted, acknowledged and understood.
Just by reading this, you’ve made the first step towards feeling better. When you’re ready to get in touch.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained in Transactional Analysis. (TA) is a talking therapy which explores how personality is shaped by experience, often during childhood. It’s known for the phrase 'I'm OK, you’re OK’ - equal respect for ourselves and respect for others.
I have over 7 years of experience working with clients, especially in bereavement, loss, and with cancer patients and their families.
I have a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of:
- United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA)
I am a member of the following:
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
- The Black African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN)
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

UKATA (formally the Institute of Transactional Analysis) is the national UK Transactional Analysis organisation representing all fields of TA theory and practice. TA can be used as an effective tool in a wide range of contexts such as: personal development, management, coaching, counselling, psychotherapy, teaching, education, parenting and more.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I've trained in Couples Counselling.
Couples counselling offers partners a place to explore their relationship by providing a safe space to express feelings, discuss recurring conflict, feelings of disconnection, infidelity, sexual issues, or difficulties related to communication and external stressors. Counselling aims to increase the partner’s understanding, respect affection, and intimacy, ultimately contributing to a mutually satisfying relationship.
