Joanna P-A Moore MBACP Registered and Accredited Counsellor
About me
Anxiety, depressive moods, anger, panic, relationship problems, low sense of self-worth, bereavement are just some of the reasons why you might feel ready to see a counsellor. As BACPM qualified and registered therapist I can offer you a confidential, safe and none judgmental space to help you gain self-awareness and clarity.
Maybe you have come to a time in your life where you feel stuck and want to explore ways to move on or maybe you are ready to tackle painful feelings which have been carried from your past. There is no right or wrong reason for starting therapy. Together we can work towards what it is that you are looking to achieve and how you can feel more complete with your life.
As an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor / Psychotherapist, my approach is very much worked around the individual person and their needs. I offer short and long term one to one confidential counselling in a safe environment, where people can feel free to explore their troubles and hopes.
I look to help and support you in dealing with issues that make you feel uncomfortable, are causing you pain or even to simply explore your desires and dreams and what might be blocking them. Explore how past wounds have impacted on present choices and difficulties with focus on the life you wish to make for yourself.
The idea is that the therapist and client work together at the clients pace. Sometimes setting agreed goals to work towards.
I am currently available for sessions on Monday & Friday mornings and afternoons at my Fulham practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor /Psychotherapist who has experience working within a one to one setting with clients since 2005. I have a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am also BACPM accredited and registered. Number 053234.
I have worked with such a diverse group of people, gender, age and presenting issues, that I have no difficulty in working with any feeling, emotion or experience that my client wishes to bring to me.
I am also a qualified youth worker and have over 14 years experience of working with children and young people in a youth work setting and as I have two children of my own I would draw on this as life experience in its self.
Not excluding approximately 10 years of working in sales and management.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
