About me

Begin your journey towards improved mental well-being with a compassionate therapist who prioritises your needs. Our mental health directory offers support for a range of concerns including parent support, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family dynamics, low self-esteem, trauma, and grief. Our inclusive environment ensures a safe space for everyone, whether you're new to therapy or seeking deeper healing.

I employ a person-centered approach, providing various methods tailored to your preferences, including EMDR if it aligns with your goals. Together, we'll collaborate to find the best approach for you, ensuring your comfort and readiness at every stage.

During our sessions, we'll delve into the underlying reasons behind your struggles, often linked to past events, and focus on enhancing your self-awareness for meaningful change. Recognizing the challenges of starting therapy, I offer an introductory session to establish rapport and determine the most effective path forward.

In our sessions, I blend empathy, creativity, and techniques like EMDR (if you're open to it) to facilitate healing and self-discovery. Let's embark on this journey together, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and improved emotional health.

Additionally, we provide comprehensive support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Teaming up with an experienced SEND advocate, we offer tailored counseling and advocacy services to empower parents and enrich children's educational experiences. Connect with us for dedicated and compassionate support personalised to your family's needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over four years of experience in therapeutic counselling, I am a qualified practitioner with a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma and specialised EMDR training. My journey includes impactful roles at Secondary schools and various Mental Health Services, complemented by substantial experience with private clients. As an experienced therapist, I offer tailored, compassionate mental health support, integrating effective strategies to meet diverse individual needs.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
