About me

My name is Jennie and I work as a person centred counsellor.
I can help you with these difficulties as well as any others that you may be dealing with. There is a way forward for you to live a happy, fulfilling and content life, and I will work with you to find the best path for you.
I aim to offer an authentic, discreet and confidential therapeutic space where you can explore what's going on for you right now. It may be difficulties that you are currently facing or emotions linked to past events that are impacting on your daily life now. You may not know exactly why you are seeking counselling and that's OK, we can explore this together and that can help you to gain clarity and focus.
Together we can explore ways to move forward, at your pace, in line with your own values and beliefs.
In our sessions you will be met with warmth and empathy. I will accept you exactly as you are, and will not judge you for anything you say. I won't force you to talk about anything you don't want to. Your session is entirely yours.
I appreciate that beginning counselling can be daunting, so I offer a no obligation initial phone consultation for you to ask any questions and get a feel for if I'm the right counsellor for you.
I have over 3 years experience in counselling, and have supported people from all backgrounds and walks of life. I have provided counselling for anticipatory grief, palliative and bereavement counselling in a local Hospice. I also currently work within a mental health crisis service and a national emotional support helpline.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
