About Me
I am a qualified counsellor and hypno-psychotherapist, offering virtual face-to-face, telephone, and text therapy services. My focus is on helping both adults and young people navigate life’s challenges with empathy, respect, honesty, and care.
**Mission Statement**
My goal is to help you overcome adversity with compassion while keeping therapy affordable. I offer a free initial consultation, and reduced costs for those with lower incomes, as I believe support should be accessible to everyone.
I’ve been where you are now—facing a dark, uncertain place. A counsellor helped me understand my struggles, and that transformative experience inspired me to pay it forward by helping others. I’ve dedicated my life to learning how best to support *you*.
**How I Work**
In our sessions, I encourage you to bring whatever issues you're facing, while I draw upon a wide variety of therapeutic methods and approaches to guide you. My experience includes working with people from all walks of life, including individuals, couples, and groups.
I also specialize in working with young people aged 14 to 25, as well as adults, addressing a broad range of emotional and mental health issues.
**My Experience**
My counselling journey began in bereavement at Oldham Hospital, where I learned that loss can take many forms beyond the passing of a loved one—it can include losing one’s identity, job, or even a sense of purpose.
From there, I expanded into addiction counselling, which also brought in issues related to abuse, sexuality, self-image, anxiety, stress, and depression. Many of my clients have experienced trauma, and I help them process these difficult events and move forward.
I am continually updating my skills to stay current in young people’s counselling and safeguarding. The pressures young people face today—from academic success to the omnipresence of social media—are immense. I offer a safe space for them to explore these challenges without judgment.
**Specialties**
I’ve trained extensively in relationship counselling to assist individuals and couples in understanding their relationship dynamics, love languages, and patterns, helping them reconnect or move forward with clarity.
My recent studies include menopause, autism awareness, nutrition in social care, and children's mental health. My focus is always on continuous learning so I can offer the best possible support.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
