About me

With anxiety and self-doubt, there can be self-criticism and a tendency to blame yourself for the life's challenges. Maybe you work hard, and are ambitious to achieve, and possibly a perfectionist, but feel there are obstacles blocking your progress. Challenges around relationships (such as break ups, divorces, and bereavements), work stress, identity, and trauma can feel overwhelming and you might feel 'stuck', but you fully accept that positive change is vital and that now is the time to act. If so, therapy could be for you.

Perhaps you have ADHD, are neuro diverse, and have had significant struggles, but now want to move forward towards a better future. As a member of the LGBTQ + community, you may have experienced prejudice and rejection, and want to feel more whole, accepted and understood.

Therapy involves talking openly in a confidential space,  engaging in the healing process, and enlisting professional support to bring about positive change.

No-one wants problems to impact on people we love, or our mental health, or work. I empower you to find calm, strength, confidence and courage to enhance your life. I work with individual adults-not couples- and also older teenagers.

  • In short,  staying 'stuck' is no longer an option, and you want to change your life now rather than continue to feel depressed or lost, stressed, or even empty. As a BACP therapist, I have the expertise, training and empathy to help you move towards a better destination.

How I work?

Working at your pace, I listen to your feelings providing a safe space to process difficult emotions. Feeling deeply heard, and being able to speak about openly- without being judged-can create a new energy in your life. A healing relationship is refreshing; it is about warmth and compassion, and can help boost your self-esteem. As you share what is important to you, more hope is generated, and the potential to find greater meaning and purpose in life. Gently, we will work together to help you to achieve your goals. We may explore the past, as well as difficulties in the present. Learning from set backs can help you raise your awareness about what does not serve you well and reset unhelpful relational patterns. We may draw on creative approaches- for example, using sand tray, therapy cards, or inner child work. Working together, you can be confient that you have someone on your team who will challenge you- in the right way.

By the end of therapy, many people feel more confident, happier, calmer and more emboldened to take risks.

A new, exciting transformation awaits you when you take action.

My background.

My background is in developing people as a highly experienced teacher and also a leader (in middle management roles). Over several years, I have become a  BACP qualified psychotherapist with a passion for supporting clients' growth . I worked in two different local counselling charities for over 5 years, as well as for a large online national counselling service, and have my own full time, private practice. I have been working in the field for about 11 years.

Client feedback

“Jasmine has been absolutely amazing. She is so understanding, kind and compassionate and is clearly very good at her job. She is quick to respond, and has been very good at helping me understand my anxious thoughts and feelings.  I would highly recommend Jasmine to anybody who is wondering whether to book in with her.”

"She gave me back my life and made me see that I am worth something... She helped me to see the light inside me and made me realise the trauma I went through- from abandonment to assault -was not my fault. She's helped me see I am a cool person and I have so much love and life to give."

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
