About me
I believe my clients know themselves and are the expert on their own life. I will work with whatever you feel you need to bring to therapy. I will offer you a safe place without judgement and with respect. I will give you the space to explore your feelings and will respect you for who you are while believing in your potential to grow.
Counselling can help with many issues you may be facing. Anxiety, low mood, depression, bereavement, abuse, family issues, marital problems or past trauma are some examples of problems you can explore through counselling. I also have considerable experience working with clients from the LGBT+ community and working with neurodiverse clients and their families.
I am based in North-East England but I can work with anyone in the UK via video link or telephone. I offer Face to Face counselling in the Cramlington area. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy in and around Cramlington. This gives a safe option for face to face counselling while providing an opportunity for gentle exercise.
You can call me, email me or message via my Facebook page or website. I aim to reply to every enquiry within 24 hours. I am currently accepting clients.
I am a member of the National Counselling Society and adhere to their code of ethics.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

It is important to choose the right counsellor for yourself to ensure a good therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I offer a 30 minute free consultation prior to commencing counselling. In this session we will identify your therapy goals and ensure you feel comfortable with myself as your counsellor.
