About me

I’m a queer, disabled, and neurodivergent therapist. The space I offer is warm, steady, and real. Somewhere you don’t have to explain or justify who you are.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. It might be anxiety or low mood, burnout, or feeling overwhelmed. It might be questions around identity, struggles in relationships, or experiences of grief and loss. Or it might just be a sense that something doesn’t feel right, even if it’s hard to put into words.

You won’t need to educate me about your identity or experiences. I understand how things like masking, minority stress, internalised shame, and navigating systems that weren’t built for you can take a real toll. A lot of the people I work with are exhausted from holding it all together.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and collaborative. That means we go at your pace. There’s no pressure to open up before you’re ready, and I’m not here to “fix” you.

Instead, we work together to make sense of what’s going on. Helping you reconnect with your voice, understand your feelings, and find a way forward that actually feels like yours.

You don’t have to tick any particular box to work with me. If something about this feels like it fits, that’s enough.

If you’re thinking about reaching out, you’re very welcome to. I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can get a sense of me, ask any questions, and see if it feels right. There is no pressure at all.

I also bring experience from the charity sector working with LGBTQ+ communities and people living with HIV, which continues to inform my inclusive and affirming practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
