About me

I am an integrative counsellor offering a range of approaches including talk therapy, CBT and psychoeducation as an approach to help identify and understand difficulties in life, historic or present. Integrative means I can use a range of interventions that work for you personally considering diversity. I have a confidential safe space to help you move forward either from my private practice, remote online or telephone. I provide a non judgemental and empathic approach to support you on your path.

My aim is to support you to help you understand yourself and your journey through self discovery and gudance.

I have experience within mental health crisis recovery covering a range of issues such as suicidality, self harm, depression anxiety and mental health diagnosis. Delivering group psychoeducation and integrative coping skills for a range of mental health issues.

I have experience within drug and alcohol recovery, domestic abuse, ex-offenders/probation, relationships, abortion/loss and sexual abuse.

I currently work with an employer assistance programme crisis helpline as an immediate support counsellor using integrative based sessions mainly with the modality of Solution Focused Therapy as a useful one session quick intervention useful for employees/employers around issues that impact working relationships efficiency and wellbeing within employment

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
