About me

Struggling with trauma, anxiety, or feeling stuck? You don’t have to face it alone.
Life’s challenges and emotional struggles affect us all — whether you're facing something now or carrying pain from the past, counselling can help.

I'm Holli, a qualified person-centred therapist offering talking therapy, trauma therapy, and clinical hypnotherapy. I work both in person (L39) and online with clients across the UK.

With over 14 years’ experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, I specialise in trauma therapy. I help clients manage symptoms of distress, heal, grow and reclaim control of their lives.

Maybe you've buried things for years, or you just don't feel like yourself anymore. Counselling offers a safe space to explore what's going on, feel truly heard, and start making real, lasting change. With the right support, you can live the life you want and deserve.

_____

What to expect
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and relational. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s brought you to therapy, help you understand yourself more fully, and take steps toward the life you want.

Free 20-minute intro call
Finding the right therapist matters. I offer a free, no-obligation 20 min call so you can ask questions, get a feel for how I work and see if we feel like a good fit to work together.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over 14 years’ experience working with survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse, this remains a key area of focus in my practice. I also provide specialist counselling at RASA Merseyside.

Alongside trauma work, I support clients with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, sleep problems, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, childhood and recent trauma, infertility, IVF, and pregnancy loss.

Where appropriate, I may refer clients to more specialist support for addiction, eating disorders, or bereavement.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
