About us

I'm an integrative counsellor specialising in psychodynamic and person-centred therapy, helping people with issues such as abuse, anger management, anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating disorders, menopause, obsessions, phobias, relationship problems, low self esteem, stress and trauma.

I have worked extensively with the emergency services, as well as NHS staff to overcome painful experiences, vicarious trauma and burnout. My passion is helping people in times of need, whether this is offloading, working through difficult emotions, or exploring negative behaviours.

I can help you work on any goals you may bring to our sessions, and help build resilience. I especially understand how difficult it can be for men to reach out and talk about their difficulties, however you identify I am here to share painful emotions or memories that may affecting your current life.

The advantage of integrative therapy is its flexibility and focus to suit the needs of you as an individual. Whatever you bring to our counselling sessions will be unique to you, we can explore in a confidential, non-judgemental, warm and safe space.

Contact me via email or telephone. I offer face to face, walk and talk sessions in the local area, or online sessions. If you feel that I may be able to help you, take that first step and make contact today. I offer a free initial consultation to allow you to get a feel of how we may work together.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
