About me

My name is Hannah (She/Her). I work in-person from London with rooms in South Kensington, Queens Park and online. I offer both long term and time-limited therapy.

I am a BACP registered therapist offering a safe and non-judgmental space to help you explore the challenges that you are experiencing.

About therapy with me

I practice integratively which means that I draw on a range of different theories to help inform my approach. I do not believe in a “one size fits all” methodology and tailor how I work to each individual client’s needs. I take the view that both our relationship with ourselves and our relationships with others are key to our happiness. I am particularly influenced by attachment-based and psychodynamic theories which help us understand how current feelings and behaviour are shaped by past experiences.

My aim is to work together to help you to gain relief and greater awareness of what is troubling you. We can then explore what that means and the range of different choices in how you are able to respond.

I believe that it is important to pay attention to how we are impacted by wider culture and societal influences and am committed to non-discriminatory practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the BACP.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre and am currently completing my MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I have worked and am working within various mental health organisations which provide both time-limited and open-ended therapy to a range of adult clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Sessions are 50mins long and fees are £80 per session with some concessionary rates available for Queen’s Park and online sessions.

Queen’s Park is wheelchair accessible but South Kensington is not.

If you are interested in finding out more then we can have a 15minute introductory phone call. This quick call would cover how I work, your needs and desires for therapy and what you would like to achieve. It helps us to then decide if you would like to proceed with a first introductory session.

In the first session we would discuss more about your background, what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to gain from it. We would use it to see what it might be like working together and if we are the right fit. Finding the right therapist for you is arguably the most important part of the therapy. After this session we can decide whether we would like to commit to further sessions.

This session is charged at the usual fee.
