About me

We are living in a world where we have forgotten how to communicate. Stuck on our phones and in our online world. Do you feel you have lost your identity, lost your purpose, do you have feelings of being stuck, are life changes affecting you, do you want to know who are you now? Your experiences write your story. Let’s work out how your stories affect your relationships with yourself and others. Who do you want to be? What do you want the rest of your story to say?

Hi, my name is Grace, I am a person-centred counsellor who specialises in relationships, intimacy, trauma and shame. I see both couples and individuals.

Shame is debilitating and paralysing. It is a dark cloud you can feel and carry with you, or a voice telling you, you aren’t good enough. It’s constant baggage, you hold all the time, it’s always with you, even on good days, but especially on bad days. Let’s work together to look your shame, understand it, recognise it, address it, let go of what doesn’t serve you and start believing you are good enough.

It is my passion to help people who have lost their identity learn who they are, moving forward from feeling stuck, and to feel empowered by making positive change.

I work by looking at patterns in your behaviour and how you connect with yourself and others. I provide a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I can help you let go of your shame by building your confidence, self-worth and self-awareness.

When working with couples, I can support you to connect and grow your relationship, by learning to communicating with kindness and empathy. Let’s build on your intimacy and sex life, and recognise each other’s strengths. Let’s resolve any resentments to move on. I can also help you consciously uncouple and leave the relationship or support you through making major life decisions.

I am sex positive and inclusive, LGBTQ+. I embrace traditional, modern and diverse relationships dynamics, by creating an open-minded safe space for everyone.

Please contact me today to arrange a free 15-minute phone call, where we can discuss your individual counselling needs.

I am fully insured, a member of the BACP and the ICO, and I hold a DBS check.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
