About me

Are you looking for emotional support? Do you need space to talk? Are you struggling with life changes, feeling sad or need some support to cope with family, relationship or personal issues?

I qualified in 2014 and work from a person centred approach, putting you and your individual experiences at the heart of what we do.  I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment that will support you to find your own solutions and strengths.

I offer both short-term counselling and more in-depth, on-going flexible counselling support.  To provide you with an opportunity to meet me and ask any questions you may have in the first instance, I offer an initial 60 minute meeting.  This gives us chance to discuss what you hope to get out of counselling and whether I feel like the right person to support you.  If you're then happy to continue we'll set up a second session and take it from there.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified, fully insured and experienced counsellor, working in private practice in Morley, Leeds.  I work face to face, online through Zoom and also offer telephone sessions.

The type of support I offer is helping adults who feel challenged by anxiety and depression, relationships issues, bereavement and loss, so if you're looking for emotional support, need space to talk or are struggling with life changes, I may be able to help you.

The aim of our sessions is to help you have a better understanding of yourself, and to work through issues to enable a happier and more settled life. I understand first hand that life can feel overwhelming and confusing and that it can be difficult to reach out for help.

I have previously worked at Bradford Bereavement Support helping people to find a path through loss and grief and for national charity Place2Be supporting vulnerable children in schools.

BACP

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
