About me
I am an experienced psychotherapist and I have been working therapeutically with adults, children and young people, individually and groups for over twenty years. I also offer supervision to other therapists.
Due to my training, I am able to offer a solid understanding of early childhood and how this may have impacted an adult’s life. Furthermore, I feel able to offer valuable support to parents who are finding parenting challenging.
Seeking help can give people an opportunity to share thoughts and feelings with someone who is not directly involved in their lives. A trusting relationship between therapist and client is pivotal and I understand the importance of providing a safe, supportive, authentic and respectful environment for my clients.
I offer a warm, non judgemental and confidential space, I may offer to work creatively with individuals, however, I do understand that some people would prefer solely talking therapy.

Member organisations

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
