About me

People turn to therapy for various reasons. Perhaps you're ready to tackle long-standing challenges or simply feel it's the right time. You might be uncertain about your future, interested in self-care, or considering significant life or relationship changes. Together, we can work on making choices that could bring positive changes to your life.

As an integrative counsellor, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey towards wellness and self-discovery.

What’s integrative therapy?

It's an approach which blends together various tools from different therapeutic techniques. I believe there's no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone because each person is unique. So, instead of forcing one method on everyone, I customise my approach to fit each person's individual needs and circumstances.

With integrative therapy, it is recognised that there are many ways to understand and explore human experiences, and no single theory has all the answers. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Attachment Theory. Each theory has something valuable to offer so I blend these ideas together to create a personalised therapy plan that suits you.

I don't make you fit into a therapy model; I tailor your therapy to fit you.

I'm passionate about what I do because I've seen first-hand the transformative impact therapy can have on people's lives. My commitment is to provide you with a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can find support, clarity, and the tools to lead a fulfilling life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). This means I adhere to their ethical codes of practice to maintain high standards of working.

Furthermore, my educational background includes an MSc in Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health, complemented by a BSc in Psychology.

With over three years of dedicated experience as a counsellor and therapist, alongside an additional seven years in various mental health roles.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I offer a free 20-minute phone call to discuss your needs in more detail, ask me any questions you have, and for us both to consider if we feel we are a good fit.

This call is free of charge and obligation.

If, after our conversation, we feel that I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m very happy to make recommendations to support you in finding someone else.

Should we decide to work together, we'll arrange our first session where we'll discuss more about you and your life, and we can discuss potential goals. I'll also send over some necessary paperwork for both of us to sign before we start.

Flexible support

I provide therapy entirely remotely via video call. Working online offers the same connection of face-to-face sessions, but with added convenience and flexibility, with sessions that can easily fit around your schedule, and in the comfort of your own home.
