About me

I have availability daytime, evenings and weekends.

I offer face to face, online or telephone sessions.

I offer short-term and long-term support.

I am a fully qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor based in Rotherham with a passion for helping someone through difficult times. I offer Counselling to individuals who are experiencing difficulties, both past and present, providing a safe therapeutic space where you can explore your concerns in a confidential and supported environment. The aim of our work together is to find positive outcomes for your concerns, working towards positive change and helping you achieve a more fulfilling life for yourself.

Each session will last around 50 minutes, usually offered weekly or fortnightly, this can be adapted to suit individual needs.

I have experience of working with both young adults (15+) and adults who are struggling with many challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, substance misuse, self & identity concerns, low self-esteem, self-harm, relationship difficulties, loss, abuse, neglect, academic worries amongst many others.

I do offer a free introductory telephone call to find out more about you, and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I began my training 13 years ago and have over 9 years experience offering therapy to individuals, with 6 years of private practice.  I currently work with people referred from Social Services and Victim Support Homicide.  I have worked with people from other countries such as the Ukraine, Spain, Germany, amongst others.

I am trained in Psychodynamic and Person Centred Counselling.  I have a BA Hons in Counselling Solutions which incorporated Psychodynamic, CBT, Solution Focussed, Systemic, and Relational Therapy. I am a qualified Supervisor, supporting other Counsellors within their work.  I am currently in training to offer Couples Therapy.

I am also ASIST trained first-aid intervention caregiver and am able to offer support to individuals at risk of harm.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
