About me

Do you go through everyday life just wishing you felt better than you do? Life is a struggle at times and we can become completely overwhelmed by challenges that are thrown at us when we least expect it! Sometimes we are able to brush our problems aside and carry on enjoying life but at others we can become totally consumed about what it is that we are worried about. Perhaps you are feeling anxious or depressed about certain life events or maybe you don't even know why you are feeling this way! Perhaps you are feeling betrayed, angry or lonely and until now have not been ready to make that first step to make positive changes.

I have always been passionate about psychology and although I can help with many different forms of mental health issues I do have a special interest in general anxiety, health anxiety, addictions and infidelity. My approach is calm and caring making sure clients feel relaxed and listened to.

I have been a qualified counsellor for over 20 years, my training is continuous ensuring that I keep up to date with new ideas and approaches.  I believe that everybody is unique and therefore I use an integrated approach to ensure I meet the different needs of my clients.

I am here to offer professional support to you whereby you will never be judged. Together we will build a professional relationship and work to find a way forward so that life can become enjoyable for you once again.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
