Dr Claire Williams
Hello there, I am a Clinical Psychologist offering a confidential psychological therapy service to individuals and couples. My clinic is based in South Birmingham.
If you are wondering about starting therapy, it can be a daunting experience. My assessment sessions are really just a way to meet each other and to talk over what it is you are looking for. It is as much for you to see if I would be the right therapist for you as well as a way for me to see if I can be of help. It may be that you have found yourself at this point in your life 'stuck' and you are struggling to find a way through. I hope that I may be able to help you with that journey.
As therapy is very personal, it is important that you get a good fit with your therapist. I would advise that you contact a few of us to get a sense of who would be the right one.
Sessions of 1 hour on a weekly basis are typically offered, however this arrangement is discussed in the initial assessment session, when an agreement is reached together based on your needs. Therapy is offered for as long as it is helpful to you. Some people find they only require a few sessions to help with their current difficulty and others find they need a longer time.
Please contact me using the email form on this site and please have a look at my website for more details about me and the work I do...
