About me

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor who works with a range of modalities and techniques, adapting to meet your individual needs and preferences. This ensures we work together in the best way, for you.

How I work...

I work in a person centred manner using psychodynamic concepts and I incorporate elements of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and SFT (solution-focused therapy).

Whether you are seeking therapy to work through a present issue, an upcoming transition, to explore something in your past or to understand yourself better, I will work with you at your pace.

I am empathic, warm and offer a safe, non-judgemental space for you to feel seen and heard. I feel strongly about working with people from all walks of life, helping you to work through any difficulties or issues you may have experienced, or be experiencing.

A little bit about me...

Coming from a movement and artistic background, I am passionate about working holistically focusing on the mind-body connection. I practice yoga, mindfulness and am particularly interested in breath work and the impact of this on the body.

I have experience working with adults of all ages suffering from all kinds of difficulties such as anxiety, low self esteem, relationship, family and identity issues. I understand the mental health and wellbeing issues that you may consequently experience, both emotionally and physically.

I am a registered member of the BACP and practise according to its Ethical Framework. I am fully insured, comply with supervision requirements and engage in regular continued personal development.

I offer a free 15 minute introductory call in order for us to discuss what brings you to therapy and how I work and from there we can decide if it feels like a good fit for you.

Each counselling session is 50 minutes. For online sessions, I use Whereby and Zoom. For in person sessions I use therapy rooms in Kentish Town and Holloway.

I believe in our ability and inner desire to cultivate the best relationships and experiences for ourselves and those around us. I am passionate about working with you to better understand yourself, your thoughts and your behaviours with the aim of improving the relationships in your life, be that with yourself or with others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
