About me

Have you tried counselling before?

Perhaps you felt unable to talk about your gender identity or sexuality.

Maybe you didn't want to risk being misgendered, misunderstood and having to educate your counsellor.

Let me help you.

I really understand that being LGBTQ+ can sometimes make it difficult to find a counsellor you can trust and feel safe to open up to.

As a Queer, Non-Binary person myself I have personal experience of how it can feel to be judged by professionals.

I'm passionate about helping LGBTQ+ people - like you - have affirmative counselling which is why I founded Sussex Rainbow Counselling in 2016.

I believe it's essential to not have to worry about coming out and educating your counsellor about your identity.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

My work is affirmative of gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (e.g. non-monogamy, poly, kink), as well as being sex-worker affirmative and fat positive.

Many people come to me to talk about sex having previously found it difficult to bring up with other counsellors.

I have lots of experience (as a counsellor and in previous mental health roles) supporting clients who have suicidal thoughts and have completed training in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).

Additional information

If you are looking for a professional and highly skilled counselling service where each client matters then please do get in touch.
