About me

I am an integrative child and young person psychotherapist working with children and young people up to 25. I offer the possibility of a safe space for children and young people to put feelings into words and I work from the principle that it is a secure relationship that heals.

Fully qualified Child and Adolescent EMDR therapist and Children's Accelerated Trauma Technique (CATT) trained.

I work relationally from a developmental perspective that draws from attachment theory and aspects of self-psychology. I try to creatively explore alongside children their inner and outer worlds, co-creating meaning and new understandings from experiences through playful encounter, acceptance, curiosity and empathy, using the arts to understand feelings, images and fantasies that may have no words.

If you have any worries or concerns please either text, email or call me for a confidential, 'no strings attached' chat.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

I try to work around school and higher education time restraints. It may be possible to work with younger children in the school environment.

Further information

I work one-to-one either within the child’s or young person’s school/university or privately.  I also work in small groups in schools if required.

As part of my service, I offer regular and confidential space, time and sensitive understanding to children, young people’s parents or carers to collaboratively explore family feelings, experiences and relationships together in the service of the child’s optimal development, clearer understanding and a more secure sense of self.
