About me

Welcome and thank you for choosing to view my profile.

Hi, I'm Carol, a compassionate, non-judgmental integrative therapist, underpinned with a person centred approach. This means that I will provide you with a space for you to explore your issues at your pace, led by you and what feels comfortable to you.  In addition if appropriate, I can provide you with tools and techniques to help you move forward in a way that suits you to reach your goals and direction in life.

I acknowledge reaching out for therapy can be daunting, taking that first step into an unknown space can in itself create a level of anxiety. I will do my best to put you at ease by explaining my approach to providing therapy and answering any questions you may have.

I have experience working with both Children and Adults through a wide range of different issues. I offer face to face therapy, telephone and online sessions. These can be discussed to suit your needs.

In addition, I am a nationally accredited workplace mediator, I can support organisations where appropriate to resolve workplace disputes between 2 parties. This can often negate the need for formal procedures.

For further information or to have an initial conversation please contact me.

Following an initial telephone call, I will send you, via e-mail, all the information you need to help you make an informed decision and prior to us meeting.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
