About me

People turn to therapy for many reasons and find that it can help with

  • Feeling less anxious and less stressed
  • Cultivating better personal and work life relationships
  • Improving confidence and self-esteem

As a person-centred therapist I believe that the key to change lies within us, but we often may need the help of another in understanding and finding ourselves.

I will give you the chance to experience trust, safety and peace again, so you can begin to find your way to a new sense of being at home in the world.

How we work together will be determined by your unique situation. It will be at a pace that is right for you, and I aim to bring a caring and non-judgemental support to our sessions. Together we can build a trusting relationship which will enable you to understand what's going on for you.

I offer accessible sessions both long and short-term, in person, online, and by phone.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have significant experience in providing therapy both in my private practice and through various community-based services across London, with a wide range of issues including:

Depression / anxiety / bereavement / loneliness / burnout and work-stress / relationship problems / illness / childhood trauma / ADHD / abuse / sexuality/ gender and cultural identity.

I welcome working with LGBTQIA+ clients, global majority clients, and clients with neurodiversity.

I hold a diploma in Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling (Advanced Practitioner) from the Metanoia Institute in London.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

Each client decides their rate when they make their first payment. Clients who pay more are essentially benefactors for clients who pay less which supports a more diverse and accessible practice.

Further information

I worked as a teacher with children and young adults for many years. At a deep level I know that the most valuable learning happens when people feel heard and valued. I bring this insight into my therapeutic work.
