About me

As a Consultant Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I have over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate mental health challenges.  My career has spanned the NHS, charitable organisations, and the private sector, where I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages.  Trained to doctoral level, I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from a range of psychological models to tailor our work together to your unique needs.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s all too easy to feel overwhelmed or lost. Whether you’re struggling with grief, anxiety, low mood, or facing a major life transition, I’m here to help you gain clarity and find your way forward.  By combining my years of experience with evidence-based therapies and a compassionate, client-centred approach, I strive to ensure you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Therapeutic Support for Individuals & Couples

I specialise in helping individuals and couples navigate a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Mood-related issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and seasonal affective disorder
  • Anxiety, including panic attacks, agoraphobia, social anxiety, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), health anxiety, and stress
  • Trauma-related issues, including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Complex PTSD
  • Bereavement, loss, and adjustment to life events
  • Low self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Family or Relationship challenges

Tailored Therapeutic Approaches

To ensure the best possible support for you, I adopt a holistic approach. I incorporate principles from functional medicine and conduct a thorough assessment to better understand the various factors that may be contributing to your difficulties.

I work with individuals aged 16 and over and draw on an integrative approach, combining several therapeutic models to create a personalised treatment plan. These models include:

  • Psychodynamic Therapy
  • DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)
  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
  • Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Mindfulness-based approaches
  • Schema Therapy
  • Compassion-Focused Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Somatic Therapy
  • Art and Music

Group Workshops for Low Mood, Stress and Anxiety

In addition to individual therapy, I offer workshops that focus on areas such as agoraphobia, panic attacks, as well as low mood, stress, and anxiety.  These workshops provide a supportive community environment and are designed to complement your personal therapy or act as a stand-alone resource for those seeking additional support.

The first cohort will begin at the end of January, and I invite you to visit my website to register your interest.

Please note that I work with individuals aged 16 and over. Currently, I offer remote, online therapy, and my particular areas of interest include family and relationship challenges, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum mental health, narcissistic abuse, anxiety disorders, and PTSD.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
