About me
Hi, my name is Andrew. I am a counsellor who supports men who have experienced Miscarriage and Still Birth, I help men who have supported their wives/partners through the loss, offering them an opportunity to talk about and receive support as they go through their own grief.
I also support those with depression, anxiety and bereavement.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold the Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Counselling (Integrative)
I hold Accreditation with the NCPS and I'm a member of the BACP
I work with Pegasus Men's Wellbeing Centre, supporting people with depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. I value working with men as I volunteer with a Men's Mental Health Team, reaching out and supporting men through difficult times.
I have 15 years experience working as a Teaching Assistant, mainly with Early Years, Year's 1 and 2 which could benefit families with children who may find it hard at school. This includes, reading, writing and spelling, the use of phonics to form words, looking at sounding out and word formation. If your child would benefit from one to one sessions with an experienced encourager who holds a DBS, please feel free to contact me.
I have a keen interest in working with young people from teenage and through their twenties, probably the hardest times to negotiate. I offer space to talk about issues facing young people today, allowing them to express the way they feel in a safe environment.
