About me

Systemic psychotherapy, also called family therapy, explores a person’s relationships and the different contexts which influence their life, rather than seeing them in isolation.

I am a qualified Systemic Psychotherapist registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I completed my systemic training at King’s College of London (KCL) and I have experience working with families, couples, and individuals privately and within various settings in the NHS, such as CAMHS and adult services.

In my therapeutic practice, I help people to notice their behaviours, emotions, and patterns of interacting and relating, as well as unpacking and understanding their origin. I find that, fostering the ability to observe oneself, enables people to find autonomy, regain their voice, and choose how they would like to live their lives and be in relationship to others.

I believe that therapy is the most effective when there is a strong therapeutic relationship. In my work, I seek to build this through respecting and appreciating the individuals’ resources, needs, and differences, and following their pace.

My expertise involves working cross-culturally with individuals and couples facing a range of difficulties and families during the perinatal and postnatal periods, and throughout early years (with children up to 5 years old).

-Couples: Mental health difficulties, communication difficulties, psychosexual concerns, divorce/separation, life cycle transitions, financial difficulties, concerns around trust, loss

-Individuals: anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, anger management, concerns around eating, work-related difficulties

-Families: pregnancy, becoming parents, parent(s) – baby/infant/child relationship, early attachment, co-parenting, concerns around attachment, eating, challenging behaviours
