About us
We are a mutually supportive, diverse group of experienced counsellors and psychotherapists each offering our own experience and expertise to offer the therapy you need as an individual.
First established in 2010, we are located a few minutes away from Victoria station with its excellent tube and overground connections.
And if choosing a therapist from a list feels daunting we also offer advice on how to find the right therapist for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
Everyone at Westminster Therapy Associates is trained to Master's level as a counsellor or psychotherapist at some of the most respected training organisations in the UK.
As such we are all have considerable experience in working with people who are struggling with 'change' - be it a change that has been forced upon you or a desire to make a change that you cannot manage on your own. Rather than list an series of labels of common problems, we prefer to treat each of our clients as a unique individual, listen to their stories and guide each of them through their change.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Other areas of counselling we deal with
The list above contains both highly specific diagnoses and very general terms. In our practice we all have considerable experience in the generic but some of us have genuine expertise in working with clients who have been affected by trauma -especially that caused by war and violence - by experiences at boarding school and from witnessing or being the victims of domestic abuse.
