About me

Are you fed up of the clichés that are far too often attached to grief and other difficult feelings, such as 'you should be over it by now', or 'no point living in the past'? Have you experienced a loss? Do you feel anxious or depressed? Are you struggling in relationships at home or at work?

I know how worrying it can be to share your thoughts and emotions with someone. The time and space we share together will enable you to speak about whatever you like at your own pace and depth, however 'big or small', in a non-judgemental environment.

By working with me, you will be able to explore and share your problems, experiences and goals in a safe and confidential space, without feeling the need to put other people’s feelings first, giving you the chance to talk about things that are bothering you, whether recent or bottled up since childhood.

I'm told I'm naturally warm, kind and genuine. This, combined with my training and experience of working through my own life challenges, has helped me develop the skills & understanding that I use in my work to empathise on a deeper level with my clients. I offer online and telephone counselling and face to face counselling in Leyton or Buckhurst Hill.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a registered member of the BACP.

I have worked with anxiety, depression, bereavement, emotional and sexual abuse, disordered eating, general life issues, apostasy and more.

I have completed a 24 hour course thtough the Open University on 'Understanding Autism'.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
