Trust In Counselling & Therapies
It can be hard to find the answers to your difficulties, particularly when you are feeling overwhelmed, unsure that you can trust in your ability to make decisions, feel confused by past experiences, or struggling with changes to recent relationships or personal circumstances.
Here, at Trust in Counselling and Therapies, we provide a general counselling service that offers a safe, confidential place to talk.
Our therapists will help you to explore the complexities of your life and begin to understand the impact up on your emotional well-being: which if left unresolved can sometimes create physical problems such as interrupted sleep patterns, loss of appetite, and low energy levels, leading to isolation and a sense of loneliness.
Whether you want to talk about current or past difficulties in your life, or prefer to focus on negative thought patterns and self-destructive behaviours and learn techniques to help you change and manage these on a daily basis, we are here to help.
Our trained therapists are able to deal with a variety of issues including bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, historical child abuse, low self-esteem, stress, and abuse.
At Trust in Counselling and Therapies, we work with Individuals, couples, teenagers, and older children and offer a range of therapies including person-centred, systemic (relationship/couples), cognitive based therapy (CBT), and hypnotherapy.
For professionals in the helping professions, we also offer supervision.
For those individuals who prefer to find a balance between mind and body, there are a number of holistic therapies available.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
