About me

Hello, I am Tia a fully qualified Counsellor working with Adults, Young People and Children and Couples both face to face or online.

Are you looking for a counsellor who can help you make sense of your feelings, how events have affected you or to make sense of what is happening around you?

I work in a way that places you at the centre of the work and tailor sessions to your own unique needs.

How can counselling help me?

Many present day issues stem from past experience. Together we will look at helping you to understand patterns of behaviour and why the barriers are present and to create a better understanding of what is going on. This will help you to make a positive change in your life.

Seeking counselling for the first time may seem scary but I offer a space which is non-judgemental, confidential, empathetic and safe. I believe everyone has their own story that deserves to be listened to.

Are you trying to progress your relationship or is there something that is holding your relationship back?

How can counselling help couples?

I provide an empathetic, confidential and non-judgemental space where you are able to tell your story.

Couple counselling will help to enhance self awareness, identify negative patterns, manage life events, reconnect with your partner, reflect on the past to build a future that you both want, build a clear communication with your partner and build trust within the relationship.

I've worked as a Family Support Worker within Plymouth Children's Social Care. I was able to provide a safe space for parents and children to see each other. I did intervention work for healthy relationships, relationship breakdown, anger and LifeStory Work.

How do I get started?

When you are ready I offer a free 20 minute video/phone call so you can get to know me and ask any questions you may have.

Training, qualifications & experience

I use approaches from Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT. I also work in a creative way which is led by you, the client. I believe that everyone has their own unique story that deserves to be listened to in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
