About me

Hi, I’m Tia, a counsellor supporting trauma, anxiety and emotional distress, helping adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or affected by difficult life experiences.

I offer a calm space where we can work through what feels overwhelming, reduce emotional distress, and help you feel more steady and in control again.

Alongside my core work supporting trauma, anxiety and emotional distress, I have a specialist focus on supporting people affected by legal and court related stress. This includes family court, separation, divorce, criminal proceedings, and those impacted as victims of crime or traumatic legal experiences. I understand how emotionally intense and uncertain these situations can feel, and I offer support to help you manage the impact before, during and after proceedings.

How I work:

I work in an integrative way, drawing on Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural approaches. This means sessions are shaped around you, rather than following a fixed method.

Together we can:

  • Explore what is contributing to your distress or overwhelm
  • Understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions and relationships
  • Develop practical tools to manage anxiety and regulate emotions
  • Build a stronger sense of stability and confidence

I offer a consistent and supportive therapeutic presence where you can talk openly, feel understood, and work through what is affecting you at your own pace.

Areas I work with:

I support adults and young people aged 16+ who are experiencing:

  • Trauma and the ongoing impact of difficult experiences
  • Anxiety, stress and emotional overwhelm
  • Low mood and burnout
  • Life transitions and periods of uncertainty
  • Separation, divorce and relationship breakdown
  • Family court involvement and legal stress
  • Criminal court proceedings and related emotional impact
  • Support for victims of crime
  • Domestic abuse and recovery
  • Anger and emotional regulation difficulties
  • Attachment and relationship challenges
  • Self esteem and confidence issues
  • Bereavement and loss

You do not need a diagnosis or a clear starting point. If something feels difficult, we can work through it together.

My Background

Alongside my counselling training, I have experience in social care and private practice, giving me a strong understanding of trauma, emotional distress and the impact of life challenges.

My approach is steady, thoughtful and grounded, supporting you to make sense of your experiences while finding ways to cope more effectively.

Get in touch

If you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, emotional distress or navigating a difficult life situation or legal process, I would be glad to hear from you.

We can start with an initial conversation to see if this feels like the right support for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered NCPS member, supporting adults and young people 16+ with anxiety, anger, childhood trauma, life transitions, and the emotional impact of court proceedings.

I have completed additional training in Pre Trial Therapy and Court Process Support, enabling me to work safely and ethically alongside ongoing legal matters, including divorce, family court, domestic abuse hearings, and criminal proceedings.

I draw on Person Centred, Psychodynamic, and CBT approaches, tailoring therapy to you. I offer a warm, confidential, and non judgemental space where we can make sense of your experiences and find practical ways forward.

My background in social care and private practice has deepened my understanding of trauma, life pressures, and the impact of early experiences. I bring warmth, steadiness, and care to support your growth and stability.
