Our Third-Wave Employee Support Service (TESS) offers 1:1 counselling, group workshops, reflective practice & supervision to workplaces to aid employee health & wellbeing & to manage workplace stress.

Training, qualifications & experience

Service Lead

The service lead, Dr Lucy Kozlowski, is a consultant clinical psychologist with over 15 years of clinical and research experience in the fields of physical and mental health care. This experience has been obtained in both the NHS and in private practice organisations and has involved designing and developing services and interventions, as well as delivering highly specialised treatments for complex difficulties.

Dr Kozlowski supports people primarily with adapting to living with a long-term physical health condition, people experiencing difficulties in the perinatal period and people experiencing common mental health difficulties including stress, low mood and anxiety. In addition to working clinically with the aforementioned conditions, Dr Kozlowski has also published book chapters and research papers exploring effective interventions and treatment approaches for such conditions. 

Alongside this clinical work, Dr Kozlowski has undertaken extensive training in the field of clinical psychology and associated practice.

  • Masters in Clinical Psychology (MSc Foundation in Clinical Psychology)

Clinical Associates:

Our clinical associates are clinical and counselling psychologists, counsellors and psychological therapists. They are fully qualified and registered practitioners who have completed core counsellor or psychologist practitioner training. Our associates have years of experience in the field of mental and physical health and benefit from highly specialised supervision from the service lead.

Trainee Counsellors & Psychologists*:

Trainee counsellors are in the final stages of their counselling training (level 4), having previously completed level 2 and level 3 qualifications in counselling skills. They typically have prior counselling experience and experience of supporting people with mental health difficulties. They are able to deliver support for mild to moderate level difficulties (e.g. low mood, anxiety, stress, bereavement etc). They are not able to provide support for severe and complex difficulties (e.g. psychosis, suicidal ideation etc). 

All clinical work provided by trainee therapists is closely supervised and monitored by highly specialist senior clinicians (qualified psychologists with a doctoral degree).  Sessions with trainee therapists are delivered in the same 1:1 format (just the therapist and client present), however to support with the therapists development some sessions may be taped / recorded for the supervisor to review. This is always by prior agreement with the client and the client has the right to decline this.

Fees for therapy and counselling services range from £30 - £150.

  • Sessions with trainee counsellors & psychological therapists are available from £35.00*
  • Sessions with trainee psychologists are available from £45.00*
  • Sessions with qualified counsellors & psychological therapists are available from £55.00
  • Sessions with qualified clinical & counselling psychologists are available from £100.00
  • Couples & family therapy is available from £120.00
  • Reduced rate sessions are available for aspiring and trainee counsellors (£40.00 per session) and psychologists (£75.00 per session)

Fees for supervision & consultation range from £75.00 - £300.00

  • 1:1 supervision session (per 45 minutes) - £75.00
  • Group supervision, maximum 4 attendees (per 60 minutes) - £150.00
  • Reflective practice session (per 60 minutes) - £300.00
