About me

Hi and welcome to my profile!

I am an Integrative Counsellor and as such I use different models in helping the client with their issues, which enables me to tailor my approach to meet individual client’s needs. I apply theories and principles of Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA) in my practice. I also use tools from Gestalt approach and Therapeutic Coaching whenever necessary.

I am aware that coming to counselling can be quite daunting experience and it might take courage to make that first step to change. I believe that an open and trustworthy therapeutic relationship are essential to facilitate that change and enhance your wellbeing therefore our collaboration is paramount as it will enable us to explore and work through your issues aiming to achieve better outcome.

Whilst you are an expert in your life, I will aim to find out what works for you and how best I can support you in your therapeutic journey.

I provide a warm, non-judgmental, safe, and confidential space where you can be listened to empathically and empowered to move forward to wherever you would like to be, where you have the freedom to explore in depth your thoughts, feelings, body sensations and behaviours.

I hold a strong belief that everyone has inner strength and capacity to maintain their own wellbeing and find their path, to becoming the best person they can potentially be, with some help.

I have experience in working with a diverse group of clients (11-89) presenting with different issues such as depression and anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, LGBTQ+ issues, low self-esteem, historic abuse, relationship issues with significant people etc. I have done this over a few years being in my private practice, working in a charity sector and as a school counsellor. I am carrying on enhancing my knowledge and experience and working towards accreditation.

If you would like us to work together, please send me a text message or email to arrange a free 20-minute phone call to get a better understanding of whether I am the 'right' counsellor for you.

I conduct face-to-face therapy in the centre of Stockport and Reddish, I also offer remote sessions (online and telephone).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
